GCMS manufacturers are trying to increase sensitivity of their MS systems by modifying and coming up with better and better MS ion sources. Better the source performance, better is the sensitivity. We all know that sources do get dirty that affects system performance and requires frequent clean-ups. Original equipment manufacturers ( OEMs ) come up with new solutions which reduces system downtime at sites. No matter what a solution is, we always have physically removed the source from the system in order to clean it... until now.

What are its advantages and how do we use it?

Agilent with its unique solution called JetClean has allowed GCMS users to do what otherwise was unthinkable – clean the source as you go. With this logic, there is a drastic reduction in we physically touching source to clean it. System, using a very tiny flow of hydrogen gas does the clean-up job automatically.

Mode of operation

This hardware now is available for Agilent GCMS single quad and triple quad systems. Please contact us to know if your earlier generation Agilent GCMS or GCMSMS is suitable for JetClean hardware upgrade.
