Transformer Oil Gas Analysis - TOGA

Transformer oil and oil-immersed electrical insulation materials may decompose under the influence of thermal, electrical and mechanical stress.

Certain faults in electrical transformers may produce gases, which are dissolved in the transformer oil, the components of interest in the extracted gas are typically hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane, ethane, ethylene and acetylene.
